The 20th meeting of the Working Group on Non-Destructive Control of the Scientific and Technical Committee for Metrology and the 48th meeting of Scientific-Technical Committee for Metrology of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification

The 20th meeting of the Working Group on Non-Destructive Control of the Scientific and Technical Committee for Metrology of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification took place on October 23, 2018 in Saint Petersburg.

Mher Babajanyan, Acting General Director of the National Institute of Metrology of RA was present at the meeting.

During the meeting the issues included in the agenda of the meeting were discussed.

It was agreed that information on the implementation of decisions made at the previous meetings was adopted.

Information on the process of implementation of tasks for "Standardization, Metrology and Conformity Assessment Work Plan for Non-Destructive Controls" was provided by the national metrology bodies and it was instructed to discuss the issue of expediency of modernization of the 2018-2020 program at the next meetings.

The national Bodies were also instructed to actively participate in the discussion of a number of draft normative documents mentioned in the protocol.

It was proposed four national bodies, including the national body of Armenia, to join the activities of the Interstate Technical Committee of the "Non-Destructive Control" MTC 515 as an active member.

 

The 48th meeting of Scientific-Technical Committee for Metrology of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification took place on October 24-25, 2018 in Saint Petersburg.

Mher Babajanyan, Acting General Director of the National Institute of Metrology of RA was present at the meeting.

During the meeting the issues included in the agenda of the meeting were discussed.

It was agreed that information on the implementation of decisions made at the previous meetings was adopted.

The responsible secretary of the Interstate Council provided information on the activities carried out in the CIS member states, particularly in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

The national bodies were instructed to pay special attention to the implementation of the Interstate Council's action plan for 2016-2020 and make recommendations for the implementation of the Interstate Council's Development Strategy.

The Interstate Council's cooperation in the field of standardization and metrology was discussed with the EEC and COOMET. Issues related to the implementation of a number of current programs were also discussed.
